Tai Chi Easy for Health, Balance and Vitality
Tai chi is a system of exercise and movement developed 700-1500 years ago as a martial or training art that is now widely used for health and wellness. Often known as “moving meditation,” tai chi is a series of slow, gentle flowing walking motions that are patterned after movements in nature. Most of the exercise is done while standing and taking small steps, though it can be modified for seated practitioners as well.

Tai Chi vs. Qigong
You may wonder what the difference is between tai chi and qigong?
Tai chi, known as “moving meditation,” is a series of slow, walking movements that relax the body and mind, build balance and develop neuroplasticity.
Qigong, pronounced “chi kung,” is an internal process using standing bilateral movements, breath, tapping and visualization.
Here are a couple helpful resources that explain the differences and how they are often used together.
“Laura's ability to work with all experience levels is masterful. She knew just how to create a welcoming environment for our people new to this type of movement, as well as those with some experience, and helped them connect to the practice and continue coming each week. Her knowledge and leadership created a compassionate place where we enjoyed each other and her while delving further into the healing benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong.” ~ Susan Bianchi, educator
